We’ve had some beautiful weather during our time in Oregon. We took advantage of the sunny days and spent some time exploring the coast! Our first trip was to the Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area, to explore the beaches. The day was absolutely beautiful, bright blue sky and lots of sun!
The warning signs you see on the west coast are not at all what we see on the east coast!
The beach was beautiful.
We spent the day building sandcastles and exploring the tidal pools.
My granddaughter is fascinated by the hermit crabs she found hiding in the pools.
After enjoying our lunch we decided to drive up the coast a bit and do some more exploring.
After a short walk through the pines we were on the beach.
Very few people, just wide flat beaches as far as you could see. Riley had such fun chasing her stick, except when she lost it in the water!
Lots of fun for everyone.
All too soon it was time to get back in the car and drive back to Portland. Can’t wait to visit the area again!
My goodness what beauty! Fabulous pictures thank you for sharing it’s been a good day here in uk but the last few weeks have been gray every day! So nice to see blue skies!

Hope you all got sand in your shoes. The old story is with sand in your shoes, you will someday return to that shore side place.
God Speed.
