The Chapel Hill Farmer’s Market

Farmer's Market

Recently we completed one of our goals and took a road trip to North Carolina. While visiting friends in Chapel Hill we had the opportunity to check out the local Farmer’s Market early on a Saturday morning.Farmer's Market

The Chapel Hill Farmer’s Market is wonderful. Full of all sorts of stalls selling everything from freshly made bread to beautiful bouquets of flowers. I’d never seen such fancy bread before!Farmer's Market

It was fun to explore and look at all the vegetables that were already in season. At home it is time to harvest garlic now. At the Chapel Hill Farmer’s Market  there were tables of garlic.Farmer's Market

Carrots were already full grown. I’m still thinning out the carrots at home in Vermont.Farmer's Market

Even the yellow squash and zucchini were ready to consume. The blueberries were being picked that week!Farmer's Market

There were different varieties of potatoes to choose from.Farmer's Market

The colors of the cherry tomatoes were vibrant. How could you possibly decide which color to buy?Farmer's Market

Even lettuce was in abundance.Farmer's Market

I was tempted to buy some tiny eggplants but knew they would never make it back to Vermont.Farmer's Market

Exploring Farmer’s Markets is so much fun. I look forward to finding Farmer’s Markets on the west coast.Farmer's Market
